Breakfast was free, and I liked being able to take food back to my room in the little takeaway boxes. The dining area only has about 25 seats, though, so it got crowded fast. The hotel is handy for the station and there's a convenience store nearby. I picked this of the two Toyoko Inn locations by Fukushima Station because the breakfast was said to include Kitakata Ramen. The room was compact. Its window faces another hotel, possibly Fukushima 2, and can be seen from that hotel's corridor. I closed the curtains once I noticed, but frosted glass would make more sense. The clock above the TV ticks loudly enough that I needed earplugs to sleep. A digital clock would be better. The staff work hard, but with ten floors, more than 25 rooms on each floor, and just one elevator, getting around is difficult. It's a structural problem. The stay was okay, but not especially good.
