The river view from the window was lovely, and the room had plenty of space for the price. We were a family of four in two rooms, and our elementary school kids stayed free, breakfast included. The beds were bigger than doubles, and the separate bathroom and toilet, plus the roomy sink area, made the stay much more comfortable than a business hotel. YouTube worked even though the VOD service was being worked on, and borrowing a phone charger was a big help. I was surprised before arriving to learn this also operates as a love hotel, but I was generally happy with the stay. One thing to know: there are no keys, so we had to call the front desk whenever we wanted to come or go. That may make sense for a love hotel, but it was awkward for an overnight stay. There was a kettle, though it wasn't much use without coffee, tea, or other amenities from the front desk. It would be nice if they supplied at least one serving. If you keep those quirks in mind, it feels like good value.

This was my third stay here, and I've always been treated kindly. I booked through Agoda last time. The interior has a bit of a Showa-era retro feel, which I personally like and find comfortable. I came back after a while, exhausted from driving with sore eyes, and just wanted a proper night's sleep. The 5 pm check-in was a real help. I booked the cheapest room without expecting much, but it was spacious, clean-feeling, and didn't have that cigarette smell you often get in love hotels. I thought I'd sleep well. I ordered the service breakfast too, and when I realized I'd forgotten my charger, they lent me one. They helped me out in lots of ways. At this price, I think it may be the only love hotel in Fukuyama that lets you stay for a long time. Thanks again! m(_ _)m

The unclear pricing left me really unhappy. I expected to pay 5500 yen, but because the New Year's surcharge was explained so confusingly, I ended up paying an extra 3000 yen. I understand there can be a holiday surcharge, but the prices need to be written more clearly. The room wasn't dirty, though it smelled bad. The TV responded slowly, its remote stopped working, and videos either wouldn't play or froze. After I soaked in the tub, I got extremely itchy. I'm not coming back.

I stayed there last February. The place has a 90s feel, but the price was reasonable and it was kept very clean. The welcome mango and pineapple juices were delicious.
