Hotel Ichimatsu

I was in town for an event in July, and the friendly, helpful staff made me feel at ease the whole time. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious Japanese food, and there was plenty to eat, so I could refuel properly. I’ll definitely stay here again.

We stayed with family over the New Year holiday, on a room-only plan. The room was warm and we slept well, and free parking was much appreciated. There were a few things that could be better: the large bath was for men only, the water was extremely hot, and toilet sounds carried. I’d stay here again if the chance comes up.

There’s a Seven-Eleven diagonally across the street, and LaLaport is about a ten-minute walk if you go behind it. I’m thinking of coming back, though I don’t know when yet. This was my first time booking a hotel by myself, since I’d mostly slept outdoors before. It was at the end of the year, and they kindly told me it would be cheaper to book through Jalan or Rakuten than by phone. I was able to reserve without any trouble.

The room felt spacious and wasn’t too small. I liked the powerful airflow from the hairdryer. But the bathroom smelled bad, and there was no outlet by the bed. The main table had no tissues, only the ones by the bed, which was inconvenient. There was an air purifier but no humidifier. The hotel is in a residential area, which felt fine during the day but a little scary to walk through alone at night as a woman.
