The private onsen was really nice, with lovely hot water and great service. There wasn't a view, though it would be even better if there were one. I can't comment on the rooms since we only visited the private onsen.

We came back after 9 years and were just as impressed. The property is well cared for and doesn't feel old, and the staff were kind, professional, and very accommodating. The food was a real highlight. We booked dinner and breakfast, and everything was fresh, seasonal, and delicious. There was plenty of choice at breakfast, and we enjoyed every dish at dinner, including the local specialties the area is known for. We visited in August. Our room was modest, clean, and comfortable, with its own toilet. Showers are in the public bath area, which has onsen facilities. There are indoor and outdoor onsens, and they alternate between men and women each day, so we got to enjoy different views during our stay.

We paid by card yesterday, but today we were turned away because they said it was cash only. The old man at the entrance probably doesn't know his job, and the hotel doesn't seem to like customers.

The people were fabulous, and the rooms were clean, tidy, and roomy. All the food was Japanese and fantastic!

We went for a day at the onsen. There are indoor and outdoor baths, and on a clear day you can see the beautiful mountain range. In July, you can see the lavenders. The staff were nice, and they also sell a special limited edition of Furano wine.
