AB Hotel Kamagori

The service was excellent. I did find the rooms a bit compact, though.

The breakfast had a surprising range of side dishes and drinks, and everything tasted good. We also appreciated how easy checkout was with the machine. The public bath stayed open until 2:00 AM, so we could really stretch out and relax there. Our room was very clean, and despite arriving late, we slept comfortably without hearing people in the hallway or next door. We were on a road trip and used the hotel as a stopover. The front parking lot was full when we arrived, but staff pointed us to the lot next door. Since we arrived Saturday night and left Sunday morning, it was nice that parking was free. We’d be happy to stay here again.

Breakfast was free and had a good selection, so it was easy to have a filling meal. The rice was too soft, though, with the grains all sticking together. The room and bathroom were clean, and the soft bed and low pillows made for a sound sleep. I could hear hallway conversations quite clearly, which might bother some people. The public bath was clean, but its three washing stations are limited, and the water felt a little too hot. It would be useful to check how busy it is from a phone before going.

The hotel itself was fine, and it’s right in front of the station, which could make it handy if you’re traveling by train. The attached paid lot is also open to the public, so it gets crowded, though that isn’t the hotel’s fault. I stayed about four days. They gave free parking tickets from evening through morning, but breakfast was always so busy that I never managed to use it. I don’t like crowds, though I suppose it might work for someone who doesn’t mind waiting in a packed space. The photo shows the station from the room, with the paid parking lot below. For those of us working out in the field, it may be a little inconvenient. The convenience store is a bit of a walk, and APITA next door didn’t seem to have much selection. The traffic lights by APITA also seem to take forever, lol. For regular use, it seemed like a nice enough hotel.
