Gifu Green Hotel

For the price, this place is unbelievable value. Gifu City itself doesn’t have a lot going on, but the hotel sits between Gifu Station and the entertainment area, in a well-established commercial district with plenty of places for food and drinks. The small bathroom is the main downside. Everything else was fine.

I come back here for work trips from outside the prefecture. It’s hard to judge hotels from online photos since they all look clean and beautiful, but for the price, location, and nearby nightlife, this one is a good deal. I feel like it’s the cheapest hotel around, so I think it’ll keep doing well. Still, Showa Hotel seems due for a renovation soon. I hope they keep it going, because it’s good value.

Nothing especially good or bad, just an average stay. Breakfast felt a little awkward, though I was happy with both the taste and the amount. It had the feel of breakfast at a coffee shop.

Yanagase Shopping Street was especially handy in the rain because of its covered roof. The hotel sits between there and Gifu Station, so the location was good. My room was spacious and clean, although the toilet and bathroom were small. It was inexpensive, so I can accept that. Breakfast was a standard coffee shop style meal.
