Sauna Hotel Gifu

We really enjoyed how private it felt while relaxing. Every room has its own sauna, plus a small refrigerator with a freezer, and the beds were comfortable. After a long day walking around Gifu Castle and Gifu park, it was great to unwind in the sauna. We also went up to the hotel's roof top space to look at the stars. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and told us about a bar special for staying guests: one hour of “all you can drink.” You can buy food there too. There are six free parking spaces, but they were full when we arrived. Across the street we found a one day/¥400 ($2.50) lot, which was affordable and convenient. I highly recommend this AWESOME hotel.

Lots of complimentary items, and the staff were great. Having a sauna in the room is an interesting idea, since guests can use it whenever they like.

Everything felt new and clean, and they even did our laundry for free. The amenities were the best we’ve ever experienced: a Refa hair straightener and curler, plenty of soaps to choose from, a music speaker, chargers, free drinks, a smart TV, and of course the sauna. The beds were comfortable too, and the service was amazing. This was the best hotel we stayed at in all of Japan. The photos don’t do it justice. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

The room was clean and seemed well maintained, with the sauna already on when I arrived, so I could warm up right away. It’s a compact hotel, but had everything I needed. I was given free salted rice balls in the morning. I often stay near Gifu Station or Yanagase on business trips, and had been looking for a convenient hotel near Yanagase. I finally found this one. Lots of couples seemed to be staying there. The parking lot was full, so I parked nearby, where everything around here is cheap. The in-room sauna was a nice touch. They also have Oronamin C, Pocari Sweat, and water at the front desk, so there’s no need to buy those. The first-floor bar offers an hour of free beer, lemon sours, and other drinks, and they were delicious. It’s quite an authentic bar, so whiskey lovers should enjoy it too. I only stopped for a quick drink of about 15 minutes before heading downtown, but it would be nice to eat and drink there for longer.
