Hotel Sunroute Patio Goshogawara

There was some apparent mold on the shower curtain, though everything else looked clean. The hotel is pretty standard for a Japanese business stay, with reliable enough Wi-Fi, one or two servings of tea or coffee in the room, and toothbrushes, shampoo, and other amenities. Level 2 has the microwave, laundry, and vending machines. One front desk staff member spoke excellent, almost fluent English and was incredibly kind and helpful. Non-Japanese guests need to show a passport or resident card at check-in.

A quiet, pleasant hotel close to local restaurants. A lot of the signs are in English too.

Free parking was a real help since I drove, and check-in and check-out were smooth. The room was comfortable too. The room was comfortable and both arrival and departure went easily. If you're driving through Goshogawara and want a reliable place to stay, I think it does the job.

Breakfast felt lovingly prepared by the chef. There was fatty fish, salad, meat udon with a thick sauce, cod roe, something sweet, big sweet pickled plums, local-style natto, several fruits, and dessert. I've stayed here several times, and would come again if I get the chance. The building and rooms are a bit old, though clean and comfortable, and the bathtub was a decent size. The parking area is fairly spacious, with large supermarkets nearby.
