Rembrandt style Gotemba Komakado

I was there to be near a family member working on a nearby project, and the quiet setting suited me well. Gotemba’s center is about a 20-minute drive away, so it might not work if you want to stay right in town. My room for one was compact, but comfortable and spotless, with a cozy bed, blackout curtains, a private restroom, and the basic amenities. You can pick up extras in the lobby. I booked around midnight at the last minute and worried the unusually low price might mean something was off. The stay turned out better than I expected. Check-in and checkout were simple and quick, and there was a machine option too. The public bath downstairs was clean and relaxing. I’m not sure how well the staff speak English, but I managed with basic polite Japanese.

I slept so well and got to properly unwind. The room was comfortable, the service was excellent, and I came away having had a really good stay. It was amazing, and I’d recommend the hotel.

Handy for Fuji speedway, with a Konbini right next door. The rooms were clean and the service was good.

There’s a nice view of mount Fuji behind the hotel. The rooms are spacious and have good amenities, and the price feels reasonable for a fairly new property. It’s a well-known, conveniently located hotel, though my room could have been cleaner.
