Being so close to the station and bus stop made getting around very easy, and it was a handy base for seeing Mount Fuji, with transport routes and viewpoints accessible. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the friendly staff helped make the stay go smoothly.

From sunrise until checkout, the window view of Mt Fuji was refreshing. The room itself was spacious, though its age showed in the dated look. Check-in was friendly, and when we carelessly left our keys at the door, staff kept them safe for us. The happy-hour drinks, evening curry rice, and breakfast buffet made it good value. The hotel is also conveniently close to the station and tourist information center.

They helped arrange for our luggage to be sent to our next hotel after the fuji climb, and lent us umbrellas when it poured. We were a family of four, with two beds and two couches for the kids. The decor still looks like it hasn't been updated since the place was built in 1985, which seems part of its charm. Rooms were clean, breakfast was adequate, and bathrobes and slippers were available. The location is excellent for getting to the bus and train station.

For my fuji climb, I spent a night in a "gold cabin." It was fine for what I paid, with a comfortable temperature and a private shower. The lobby will hold your bags for 24hr with your stay. Restaurants nearby were pretty expensive and not that good.
