I was very satisfied with the lodge. The food was delicious, and there was a play area for small children. It had a big living room and bathroom, two toilets, and two rooms. It can sleep up to 9 people, though I think it's better suited to around 6. There was a massage chair, which nobody was using, and a ping pong table, though the ball was a bit strange and the rackets were old. To find the hotel, I entered the address in navigation, but the directions ended before I got there, lol. I took a side road and found it.

The service and food were good, but the rooms had no tables and the shower pressure in the big communal bath was weak. There were just two hair dryers and two chairs, and some girls chatted on without paying attention to others, so I couldn't get a turn and went back to my room with wet hair. They should add more. It's annoying when people don't think about anyone else.
This was my third stay at the resort, this time with eight friends and their families. We booked a cottage and really enjoyed the beef shabu-shabu dinner. The kids had four main meal options, and the cookie-making service was great too. The playroom was being renovated and wasn't available, but we're looking forward to seeing it next time. The ice cream bar beside the large public bath was delicious. Staff were impressively thoughtful and considerate, which felt like a reflection of both their individual effort and the company's training and atmosphere. Thanks very much, and I hope the good service continues for our future stays.
Dinner is tasty and the regular course is filling, with plenty of other choices such as lava steak. The staff, from the manager down, notice the little details and are friendly without being stiff, so it's easy to relax. For a family trip, I'd recommend the cottages, since noisy kids won't bother the neighbors. It's a TOTO resort, and the plumbing is impeccable, with high-grade products to try. There aren't many rooms and it's popular, so book early.
The cottage was spacious and felt clean, and we were very happy with it for our two-night stay with our 3-year-old and 1-year-old. The bedding was the one disappointment: the futons felt thin enough to put strain on your back and lower back. More places have been improving their bedding lately, so I'd be glad if they did too. There's no hot spring, and the food is ordinary, so choose somewhere else if those are priorities. For families with kids or three generations staying together with grandchildren, it's a great fit. Fuji Speedway, the safari park, and Lake Yamanaka are nearby, making it a convenient base.
