I stayed at the Daiwa Roynet for about 10 days. The staff are friendly, and for solo travel I think the location makes this comfortable hotel worth it. The rooms are small, as is fairly typical in Japanese hotels, and over a longer stay they can feel really cramped. A couple of times I was in a hurry and forgot to put the blue magnet on the door in the morning. They didn't clean the room, so I didn't get fresh towels. The on-site parking garage costs 800 yen per day. There's a restaurant downstairs for breakfast, which costs 2,000 yen if the buffet isn't included in your room rate. There are smoking floors, and the smell there is extremely strong. You can't smell it on the other floors, so if you're a non-smoker, make sure you reserve a non-smoking room specifically.

We stayed here at the start of our Walk Japan trip. It was a short walk from the train station, and Lawson's is right next to the main entrance. The room was clean and comfortable, Western style, with a private bath and shower. Breakfast was a really good buffet. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There's also a smoking room off the main lobby.

The garage is a stacker, costs 900 yen, and lets you come and go as you please. Before driving in, take your luggage, bags, and anything else you need out of the car, fold in the mirrors, and pull in. The next day the car faces forward, so you can drive straight out. There are plenty of nearby dinner options too. The room was very clean and quite big, with firm, comfortable beds. Breakfast was the standout: we both had two sets of chirashi, and the karage chicken and curry were delicious. I also really enjoyed the mackeral and egg pudding. A surprisingly good breakfast, in a clean and well-located hotel.

For exploring Hachinohe, this is a good central base. The Daiwa Roynet Hotel is well located, and the staff are friendly and professional. The hotel is pretty clean. The building isn't brand new, but it's definitely not bad at all. I enjoyed breakfast with my family, with both Japanese and Western food.
