Hotel Route Inn Takamatsu Yashima

The WiFi was slow and sometimes stopped working. Otherwise, it was a good, very recent hotel with a comfortable bed and a good breakfast buffet.

The room was nice, but service was poor. They didn't clean it, and there was no cleaning after 1 pm. Guests weren't told about this. Unacceptable.

The service was friendly and nice.

There's a good range of places to eat nearby, including Komeda's Coffee, conveyor-belt sushi, Osho, yakiniku, and katsudon restaurants. Right across the street is the very popular izakaya Hamakaido, with lots of seafood, large tables, and room for big groups. The hotel is handy for Rexam Field and could suit people involved in sports, though the Farm Hotel is very close if you specifically want to be near Rexam. The station and downtown are far away. I've stayed here several times. The bath doesn't feel like a large public bath, but it's comfortably sized for five or six people and very nicely set up. Dim lighting in the bathroom gives it a pleasant, relaxing atmosphere. I felt a bit awkward walking through the lobby in a yukata on the way there, but if you don't mind that, it's fine.
