Hotel Global View Hachinohe

We slept really well in the comfortable, quiet room, and the breakfast was very good, with a porridge option too. The hotel was beautiful, and we wished we'd booked more than one night. There's an onsen open all night, and tattoos aren't allowed, though they sell stickers to cover them. The location is handy for food and shopping, with a Lawson right next door for last-minute things.

I had a tiny room and kept bumping into things while trying to move around. The walls were so thin I could hear the people next door, and when I opened the curtains in my third-floor room, there was a wall about a foot away. For a seven-night stay, you'd think they could have put me in a better room. At check-in they tried to charge me in Canadian dollars, adding a 4% fee. Always pay in local currency and let the bank handle the conversion. I won't book here again.

The room was 80 degrees Fahrenheit, and I couldn't lower the temperature. I told the front desk, but they said they wouldn't turn on the air conditioning because it was supposed to get cool that night. Poor service.

I slept decently, the Wi-Fi was fast, and the setting was great for photos. The bathroom was refreshingly spacious compared with the tiny ones in many hotels, and the sheets didn't irritate my sensitive skin. Staff paid attention and were above average. It's a newer hotel, and it quickly felt nicer than APA Hotels or Super Hotels. It costs a bit more, but if I find it again within 600 yen of their prices, I'd stay here.
