My single room was clean, and there was enough space to work at the desk. The service was good too.

I’ve stayed here on business with groups of two to eight, but I won’t book it again. Lately my colleagues have been unhappy too and have asked me to choose somewhere else. The water has sometimes been cloudy or had grains of sand in it, and the shower has stopped running while I was in it more than once, leaving me cold. After one checkout I asked about something I’d forgotten, but was told it was gone. I said it should still be there if it hadn’t been thrown away, yet they insisted nothing had reached the front desk. I’ll stay somewhere else from now on.

I’d posted before about the bath, and when I returned this time I arrived a little early. The front desk kindly said it was fine and remembered I’d stayed before. When I mentioned my bath review, they apologized for not explaining things clearly. This time they went over the weekday and weekend bath hours, and when I asked if I could go in early, they arranged an earlier visit for me. That was incredibly kind service.

The building may be older, but it was clean and well looked after. What bothered me was the water. Both the baths in the rooms and the first-floor public bath use well water, and it looked murky and rusty red. I let it run, but couldn’t get hot water. I hope they fix this soon. On a warmer note, there was a handwritten message from the front desk, addressed to me, waiting on the desk when I entered my room on the first day. The thoughtful note and cute drawing touched me, and I still carry it in my business bag. If I visit Hachinohe again, please keep doing that.
