For the price, this was good value: the room was clean, bright, and non-smoking. It had two single beds, a small handy table, and a little refrigerator for drinks. The shower is part of a unit bath. Higashi Hagi Station is about a five-minute walk for trains and buses. The town center and castle area take around 20 minutes on foot. There isn't much food or drink nearby, and the closest 7-11 is about 15 minutes away one way.

The staff are friendly, the location is good, and the rooms are a decent size. Just know there's no lift, and the building has only two floors.

Breakfast was a treat, especially the bread. There was a wide selection, and it came slightly warmed, so it tasted good even without toasting, unlike the room-temperature bread you often get at business hotel buffets. From the breakfast area, the courtyard looks lovely and has a nice atmosphere. The hotel feels like a British B&B, with paintings displayed throughout. My room was clean. There's no elevator, though, so you'll need to carry your own suitcase and other things upstairs.

It's a really cute hotel, and the breakfast was carefully prepared and delicious. The all-you-can-eat bread was soft and tasty, too. We were three people sharing a double room, with a cot for one guest, and it was comfortable. There's no elevator, but the location is handy for walking to lots of izakayas. I first stayed here 30 years ago, so this was my second visit, lol. It brought back a lot of memories and was wonderful.

The place was quiet and peaceful even with other guests staying there. Breakfast was delicious, especially the summer mandarin juice. I liked it enough to go back for another glass.
