I've stayed here more than once because the location works so well, near Goryokaku Park and just a minute on foot from a Lawson convenience store. The front desk stays open late, so arriving after sightseeing isn't a worry. The free breakfast bread is handy if you don't eat much in the morning or have a lunch meeting. I like to toast the croissants, chocolate pastries, or plain bread from the shop and have them with the complimentary coffee and apple juice. It's a nice start to the day. I'd recommend a twin room. It's bigger than a semi-double, with separate space that makes changing clothes easier.

The building is old and the rooms are compact, but the price was reasonable, and I appreciated the free drinks and parking next door in the gravel lot. I didn't try the washing machine mentioned in other reviews, so I can't say anything about it. The front desk service was excellent. There was also a message card in my room, which made the stay feel very pleasant. Thank you!

The place is old, so it makes sense that it's cramped and some of the infrastructure is a bit off. Still, the staff were friendly and helpful, and the morning bread was delicious. With food waste in mind, I think it's fine if they run out of the bread.

The bed was firm, which I liked, and the windows opened all the way. The unlimited DeLonghi coffee was a nice extra. Breakfast was just a few kinds of bread, but it was free, so acceptable. The Wi-Fi connected but the internet was slow and kept dropping, and wired LAN didn't work either. The coin laundry dryers didn't dry anything. They seemed clogged, maybe because they hadn't been cleaned enough. There's apparently a way to call for help, but in such a small space I wasn't sure how that would work.

The facilities and building are a little old, but the futon and pillows were soft and comfortable. The location and service were great, with a convenience store right next door. The free drinks were nice, and there was a big selection of tasty breakfast breads. I'd like to stay here again.
