fav HAKODATE

We arrived on January 9, and two lovely ladies helped us. Thank you so much! ❤️ What I’ll remember most about Fav Hotel is how the staff handled a stressful situation that had nothing to do with the hotel. They spent nearly two hours patiently calling people, coordinating everything, and even arranging contact with a third hotel so our belongings could reach us safely. They did it because they cared, and their kindness and professionalism gave us real peace of mind. Our room was spacious, pretty, and thoughtfully laid out, and the location made getting around easy. Breakfast didn’t have much variety, but it was tasty and satisfying, and we enjoyed it. We’re deeply grateful for the support. Fav Hotel has a big heart, and we’d happily recommend staying here.

I left my phone in the room by accident after checking out, and the staff kindly sent it to the last hotel I was staying at before leaving Japan. I really appreciated that help. The service was 10 out of 10, and the hotel was comfortable and super convenient. One of the best places to stay in Hakodate. Everything exceeded my expectations, so I’d recommend booking here. I’ll definitely come back.

The standard bunk room was huge, honestly ridiculously spacious. It was clean and fresh, and easily one of the most comfortable hotels I’ve stayed at in Japan. I also liked being near the Toyota rental place. There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance, especially for breakfast.

The room wasn’t cleaned at all during our two-night stay, and we were told to take our own trash to the front desk. They left a bag of clean towels outside our door without explaining anything. There was no complimentary water, either. When one of our suitcases broke, the hotel wouldn’t help dispose of it and couldn’t clearly explain how we could get rid of large trash. That was a real hassle as travelers. Breakfast was described as pizza, but what we got was bread flavored like pizza, which felt misleading. Communication and service were very limited, and the place felt unfriendly to international guests. For the price and what we expected, the stay was far below standard. I wouldn’t stay again or recommend it to foreign travelers.
