Extremely stinky, poor sound insulation, no hot water, and time limits for both bathing and using the toilet. After taking the money, they ignored us completely and didn’t even give us a receipt. The exit key is meant to be returned to the counter, but with no check-in or check-out tracking of the keys, could someone take one and get into another guest’s room? I’ve never had such a bad stay in Japan. I won’t come back.

The owner knocked to remind us about checkout at 9.40 a.m., even though checkout was at 10 a.m. After we checked out, we weren’t allowed to leave our luggage there, so we had to put our belongings in a coin locker before traveling. There were no towels, bath time was very restricted to 5-10.30 p.m., and with heavy luggage you have to carry it upstairs yourself because there’s no elevator. I don’t recommend staying here. This is a very simple home run by a couple, and they can’t speak English, so we had to use Google Translate. It was a good try for us since we’d never stayed in a tatami concept house. Facilities are limited, and winter would be a bit hard here. Other seasons could be worth trying.

The place is badly located, and the owners were rude. The building is very old, the room smelled, and the bed wasn't clean. There were no amenities, and the price was far too high.
