The house is well placed for getting around. We made a last-minute trip to Conan holy sites, visiting Mount Hakodate, Goryokaku, the Red Brick Warehouses, Hachimanzaka, Former Hakodate Ward Public Hall, and Hokkaido Toshogu Shrine in one day. The spots were about a 2-3 minute drive away at the closest, or 20-25 minutes at most. We’d love to come back in summer. We rented a car near Hakodate Airport, and the drive here went smoothly. It wasn’t far, and the snow wasn’t too heavy yet, even though it was our first time staying here. The whole two-story house was ours, with a huge garden. The kids loved playing in the snow for three days. Inside was very clean and warm enough for short sleeves, so we switched off the air conditioning halfway through. There were three toilets across the first and second floors, a spacious bathroom where the kids could relax, and a large goldfish tank where we could soak and ease our travel fatigue. The washer-dryer got plenty of use, so you can pack very little. The kitchen was roomy too. We had an early dinner at the seafood market near the Red Brick Warehouse, then cooked and ate some of what we’d bought there back at the house. In the morning, they cleared the snow before we left, which was a big help. The stylish exterior and interior made us feel at home, and we had a really rewarding three days.

There are two private rooms upstairs, each set up for four people, so two families of four can stay comfortably. Each room has its own toilet and sink, which made getting ready in the morning convenient. We came during a Hakodate winery tour, and the access was great. The welcoming atmosphere started right at the entrance, where we found electric bicycles for exploring the area. The living room is spacious with high ceilings, and the dining room is large. The sophisticated kitchen and bathroom had the latest amenities. It’s the best-equipped rental villa I’ve ever experienced, and I wanted to stay there forever. I’d definitely return to Hakodate and stay again.

We had a lovely time. We stayed with family in summer 2024. There weren’t many reviews, so I felt a little unsure, but the hotel turned out to be far better than I expected.

There’s plenty of space here, and the location is just right. It’s a great place to enjoy a bit of luxury with family or friends.
