I chose the place for its history, atmosphere, and distinct character, even though convenience mattered less to me. The lovely room, furniture, tableware, and music made having coffee there feel exceptional. I also had fun taking photos.

Built in 1901, this Kansai-style merchant building blends Japanese and Western design. The storehouse exterior combines brickwork and wooden trusses in a Western style. Designated an Important Cultural Property of Japan in 1971, it preserves the appearance of a merchant house from the Meiji period through to the present.
