Field Hakone Resort

After a long travel day, we arrived late and got the warmest welcome from the owners. The tatami area with its little table and chairs was a nice touch, and the big bathtub was lovely for a soak. The room was clean and comfortable, and there's a laundromat too.

Such a cozy, great spot. The hosts were helpful from the moment I booked, explaining what to expect and how to get there. They gave us step-by-step directions for public transport, and there’s good parking if you’re driving. They also helped when it looked like our plans might change at the last minute. I’d stay again if I went to Fun2Drive, and highly recommend it.

The staff were lovely and had a whole list of things to do ready for our short stay. The room was huge, quiet, and had everything we needed. It's about a five-minute walk from the road, where bus service is good. There are a few restaurants nearby too, plus a handy 24-hour 7 eleven.

The owners were incredibly friendly and gave us a detailed guide to getting around Hakone. We even left our glasses behind, and one of them kindly helped mail them on to Tokyo. The rooms were especially clean and spacious, with convenience stores about a six-minute walk away and ramen and drink vending machines on site. This was my third visit to Hakone, and it's been my favorite stay so far. It's in a quieter area, about 20 minutes from Togendai by bus. From there, you can ride to a key spot and take the rope way up to Owakudani or head south to Hakone Moto.
