Hakone Fura

We stayed in the Susugi room, the one with a bed. The bed was okay, but it moved whenever I got out of it. The food, though, was amazing, beautifully presented and delicious.

The owner or an employee took us to the bus stop even though they don’t run a shuttle. I’d lost my ring and had given up on finding it, but the owner found it and came back to the bus stop to return it. That hospitality made a huge impression on me. The food was amazing and the attention to detail really touched me. This was the most joyful and satisfying experience I had in Japan.

As foreign tourists, we felt so welcome and had a dream of a stay: a beautiful japanese style room, traditional clothes, an onsen, and unforgettable meals served on refined plates.

This was the highlight of our Japan trip. Breakfast and dinner were included, and both were amazing. The room was impeccable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. At check-in, you can book an hour of private time in one of the property’s two onsens. The bus stops are very close, and we got around to all the attractions using the bus, ropeway, ferry and cable car. You can get the Hakone pass at the train station information center.
