Hakone Kuranju

The onsen was really relaxing, and both the meals and rooms were lovely. The staff were very helpful. The hill up to the place is steep, but the owner was kind and gave us a lift.

A really nice place, and dinner was so good I'd suggest having it at the hotel. It was the best dinner I had in Japan.

The open hearth meal was new to me, and my girlfriend and I really enjoyed it. The open-air bath has a time limit, and there were nostalgic drinks we could enjoy for free. From the food and atmosphere to the service, the whole experience was great. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The staff made our stay especially pleasant, and the private-use hot springs were a real plus with children. We could unwind in the room and out on the terrace in the quiet, since it’s a little away from Hakone’s main sightseeing areas. The food was delicious and made with carefully chosen ingredients, and the kids finished their meals too. We don’t often get the chance to travel from Kansai, but this trip was well worth it. I’d happily recommend a relaxing stay here for couples or families. Thank you!
