We spent the night here and really enjoyed it. The hotel has a lot of charm and a quiet atmosphere, just right for relaxing. Our room was a good size and well equipped, with a private onsen that made for a great experience. The staff were welcoming, kind and gave excellent service. Both dinner and breakfast were served in our room, and both were tasty.

The food was a big highlight. Dinner and breakfast each had several courses, served in the room one at a time by a very kind woman. Take your time with it, it’s an experience, and it didn’t disappoint. We stayed one night in a traditional room with futons and a river view, including a private Onsen. The service was immaculate. Staff don’t speak English, but they took time to explain everything with Google Translate and were very accommodating. The whole building is old, and things could use renovation here and there, including the onsens, but that didn’t really take away from the stay. The age gives the place some of its character. There are two public onsens, one for women and one for men, and they switch depending on the time. The Onsen are tattoo friendly. We had a great stay.

We were worried at first about vegetarian meals, but after we told the hotel in advance, they were happy to accommodate us. They made us a delicious vegetarian Kaiseki for both dinner and breakfast. The ryokan was charming, the rooms were beautiful, and the onsen was heavenly. We’d definitely return. Thank you for such a lovely stay, arigatou gozaimasu!

We only stayed one night, but it was the best experience ever. Our room’s private onsen was amazing. They also have public onsens and private ones for guests to reserve. The woman who prepared breakfast was so nice, and there was honestly an overwhelming amount of food. Highly recommend.
