Dinner was a treat, with live piano music and beautifully presented dishes that were enjoyable to look at, listen to, and eat. The meal had delicious flavors at different levels, and the food overall was excellent. The hotel paid close attention to details in the guestroom, dining, and onsen. We found a chocolate cake on the table and pudding in the refrigerator when we arrived, along with moisturizer and an air purifier in the room.

That was the worst experience, and I never want to return. The lobby staff seemed lazy and untrustworthy, and the hospitality was terrible. They didn't explain everything to me, but they did charge me a 50,000 yen fine, which was awful. Because of Maille Coeur Shougetsu, I don't want to visit Hakone again either.

We appreciated all the little gifts and snacks during our stay. Dinner and breakfast were great, and the outdoor onsen was phenomenal. I'd like to come back.

We had a Western-style dinner with lots of dessert choices, then a buffet breakfast with a good range of options. The food was good quality.

The dinner and breakfast buffets were both delicious, and the ryokan felt sincere. We had a nice view, and the price seemed the most reasonable in Hakone.
