Moto-Hakone Guest House

The location is convenient, but our room was dusty and the owner's service was terrible. We left early to explore Hakone, then returned around 3 pm to get our luggage before heading to Izu. The bus was due in 40 minutes, and the owner said we'd already checked out and would have to pay extra if we rested in the common area for more than 30 minutes. It felt like he was counting every little thing, and we didn't feel welcome, so we left early.

The owner was the kindest and most helpful I've ever met. The guest house was clean and tidy, including the rooms and bathrooms, and the bus stop is only a minute away, making transport easy. I highly recommend staying here in Hakone.

The host was incredibly friendly, helpful, and really funny. Service gets 10/5 stars from me. Everything was clean and the room was nice, with plenty of amenities: hot water, tea and coffee, cup noodles for 200¥, Yukata, and more.

I meant to write a review on Agoda, but accidentally hit submit before adding the text. I stayed here for a day and really liked the Japanese-style room. It was big for a couple, clean, and warm. They provide free tea, a kettle, pajamas, and what I think was an air purifier. The host put carpet throughout the floors to help guests stay warm. I was there in fall and I'm from Indonesia, so I was trembling from the cold. The host was super kind and resourceful, and you can ask him anything. The bus stop is right in front of the hotel. I also wanted to thank him here, and hope he sees this.
