Yuki
I liked the calm, retro room, and both it and the toilet were spotless. The room had a washlet toilet, sink, toothbrush, refrigerator, and air conditioning. There's a microwave in the hallway and a drink vending machine by the first-floor front desk. Although the room was Japanese-style, its iron door locked automatically like a hotel door, which felt safe. It was nice to find a hotel where smoking in the room is allowed, about a 10-minute walk from Ryotsu Port. This room had no bath, air purifier, or safe. Instead, guests use the large public bath beside the front desk on the first floor, with body soap, shampoo, conditioner, and a hair dryer provided. Rooms with baths were available for about 1,000 yen more per night, so this option suits people looking for value. The Ebisuhonmachi bus stop was close by, making local buses to Kanayama, Toki no Mori Park, and other places easy to catch. I was disappointed that the free sightseeing bus had already ended in November, after the peak season through October.
