Rosencat

The owner was so welcoming and took time out of her schedule to help us plan our sightseeing around the island, including checking bus times and explaining the best way to get places. I'm very grateful. The cats are cute too. Rosencat Sado Guesthouse is my favorite place I've stayed in Japan, after trying hostels, business hotels, and capsule hotels around the country. It's lovely to get away from the city, with rice fields all around and fresh-smelling air. The house and room were very clean, and the futon was clean and comfortable. There's WiFi, a TV, an electric kettle, tea, instant coffee, and more. Just remember it's countryside: the nearest convenience store is a 25-minute walk away and may not be open 24 hours like city stores. You can rent a bicycle at the guesthouse for a good price. We miss the lovely cats who kept us company! The guesthouse is spacious, super clean, and has really comfortable beds. Hiroko-san was so kind and helpful, welcoming us and sharing places to visit and eat. We tried all the sushi spots she recommended for dinner, and they were spectacular. She even reserved a local sushi restaurant for our last night, and it was one of the best dinners we've ever had.

Hiroko san was incredibly patient and helpful, especially when we ran into problems with our ferry booking and car rental. She was always there for us, and we don't know how we would have managed without her. Her help turned our time on Sado into a treasured memory that we won't forget. Rosencat is a lovely, peaceful, spotless place in a quiet area right in the middle of beautiful Sado island. The four cats each have their own sweet personalities, and it's nice to see how happily they share the house with visitors. Thank you again for the warm welcome and patience. I hope I can bring my mother to Sado island and stay at Rosencat again someday.

Hiroko san and her four sweet cats, Peter, Ansony, Kyan, Nana, made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. We were comfortable throughout our stay at Rosencat guesthouse and enjoyed every minute. There's a really detailed map with recommendations for onsen facilities, restaurants, attractions, and supermarkets. We'd love to come back!
