Toyoko Inn Tsushima Izuhara

The room was small, but had everything I needed, and the price seemed fair. After checkout I realized I’d left my drone behind. My Japanese isn’t very good, but the hotel staff were patient and helped send it to my home in Kyoto. Many thanks!

The location is very convenient, right in the center of Izuhara. The city isn’t very busy, but everything’s close by, and buses can take you elsewhere. The staff were very helpful, and their hospitality made the stay pleasant even though their English was limited. Rooms in Japan tend to be small, and this bathroom was a bit tight. I’d also prefer two-ply toilet paper. There was free breakfast, and as a vegan I could find something to eat 👍 I signed up for membership despite those minor inconveniences because the service was so good.

I hadn’t made any reservations and wasn’t sure my stay would be confirmed once I arrived in the country, but the kind people here took great care of me. It turned into a clutch stay, with excellent service from start to finish. The view over the city of Tsushima was great, and everything I needed was within walking distance. It was my first Japanese breakfast, and I loved it.

The location is great, and the rooms have everything you need even though they’re a bit small. The bathtub is roomy enough for a bubble bath. The front desk ladies are young and very attractive. They seemed pretty overwhelmed by all the group tourists, but they were still so kind and helpful.
