The owners and managers do a really good job here. This was a pleasant surprise: modern, efficient, and cost effective, with in-floor heating and modern appliances. It’s convenient to several local ski areas, and there’s daily housekeeping. We could walk to restaurants even through the snow, in a cheerful, safe neighborhood. The bathrooms are very well set up. Four people sleep comfortably, or six if you use the upstairs pullout couch. Ideal.

Blue River Chalets exceeded my expectations, which is hard to do given my background in construction and hospitality. The location worked really well, central to restaurants and bars without being too close, and a good distance from all the resorts. The shuttle is just a two-minute walk away. Inside, the finishes are thoughtfully done from floor to ceiling, and the rental appliances and cookware were phenomenal. The space suited our group perfectly. We’d definitely try to stay here again when we return to Hakuba. Thanks for a great stay!

Jason was a great host and helped us with lift tickets, ski equipment, lessons, and all our questions. We spent four days at Blue River Chalet, a beautiful modern place with all the comforts a city slicker could want in a ski village. It’s close to the slopes and local restaurants, yet feels like a private haven for families or larger parties. Clean, modern furnishings made it a nice retreat after skiing and snowboarding. My kids say they only want to come back to Hakuba if we stay at Blue River again.
