After a day of snowboarding, the sauna facilities were a great way to relax and loosen up. We booked the Day use plan/day-trip plan, which gives you 2.5 hours, and it was worth every yen. There are two kinds of sauna, an electric one and a bamboo one, plus an ice bath said to use water brought down from the mountains. A private shower and changing room are available too. The facility is well equipped with nice amenities, and I’d strongly recommend it for a day use sauna.

The food was five-star quality, and we got to cook it in our tent. The dome itself was spacious and warm, with lovely views through the sky window. We also loved the private sauna and cold plunge pool. Most staff didn’t speak English, so we used Google Translate for everything, but we managed. The bathrooms and toilets are in a separate building, though they were clean and felt safe. Highly recommend staying here.

I tried the day sauna package on a winter night, and it was unforgettable. The whole area is reserved for you, with all the amenities included. There are two saunas with very different but equally nice vibes, plus a water bucket splash and a tub to jump into. After that, the relax chairs by the campfire were great. They even set up a selfie tripod for you to use. Highly recommend it, and maybe I’ll try glamping here next time.

The tents were surprisingly roomy compared with some other places we’ve stayed in Japan, and there were plenty of heaters and electric blankets, so the cold wasn’t a problem. We also enjoyed the personal sauna and cold plunge pool. They provided lots of good-quality food for dinner and breakfast the next day, which you can warm up on the small gas stoves. Staff were very helpful, though they didn’t speak much English and used translation apps to work around the language barrier. The bathrooms are in a separate building, so be ready for a cold walk when you need them. You also have to book a shower time, and the staff showed us how.
