There were three receptionists sitting there on their phones, and they didn’t seem able to help with any problem. No warmth or helpfulness at all.

We had a really good time at The Grand Phenix Hakuba. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well equipped, and the food in the hotel restaurant was very good. There was also a lovely onsen close by, perfect for unwinding after skiing. Getting around was easy. The slopes were nearby and the hotel shuttle was handy, while the local area was beautiful. Staff gave us useful tips on what to see and do, and helped book ski lessons and restaurant tables, which made things stress-free. From arrival, everyone was friendly and ready to help with questions. The service and facilities exceeded my expectations, and I’d happily recommend the hotel to anyone staying in Hakuba. Thanks for a memorable stay.

We had a great time there. Elva went the extra mile after we requested a vegan birthday cake ahead of our stay, and made it happen. The place was spacious and clean, and there’s plenty of parking out front if you’re driving. Big kudos to Elva.

The view was nice, and the rooms were really clean. There’s a full kitchen if you want to cook for yourself, and the service was great. It’s a one-minute walk to the bus stop. I’d stay here again.
