We came to Japan to ski for the first time, and booking a place had felt stressful since we didn’t know much about the slopes or what to expect. We wanted a larger unit, and this one had a kitchen and dining area, a living room, bedroom, and bathroom. Hakuba grand was exactly as shown, and we had the best time. Dave and takami were so kind. They gave us good advice, helped with restaurants, and drove us to lots of places. The ski room was great, the bathroom and wet shower/tub were awesome, and the kitchen had everything we needed at the start of the trip. Plus, we saw snow monkeys right outside the front door. If we return to Hakuba, I’d absolutely stay here again.

The rooms are spacious and have what you need after a long day on the nearby slopes. Hapo-one is close by, and there are complimentary shuttles to some resorts, plus rides to dinner each night. It’s a great choice if you want the comfort of your own apartment. For our first visit to Hakuba, we couldn’t have picked a better place. Dave and Takami were excellent hosts, and their advice about skiing and places to eat was invaluable. Thanks for a memorable stay. We’re looking forward to seeing you again next Xmas.

The apartment was huge, spotless, and had everything we needed. The complimentary continental pantry was a thoughtful extra and made mornings easier. Dave, Takami, and John welcomed us from the moment we arrived and did everything they could to help. Their hospitality made a real difference. We had an incredible stay at The Hakuba Grand Apartments and would happily return. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hakuba.

We spent five nights at Hakuba Grand Apartments and loved it. The rooms are a great size, the location is convenient for food, rhythm equipment rentals, and a short walk to happo one ski lifts. There was an amazing complimentary grocery basket waiting when we arrived. Dave, Takami, and John were terrific hosts: friendly, full of local knowledge, and always ready to help with lifts to ski areas or supermarkets, dinner bookings, and equipment hire. Thanks for such a great stay. We’d love to return and will definitely recommend it.

We stayed twice, in Jan/Feb 2024 and 25, and both visits were great. The snowfall was lovely, especially in the 2025 season, which had record snow. Dave, Takami, and John were as friendly and welcoming as ever, offered useful advice, drove guests to the nearby Happo One ski resort, and took us to dinner each day when requested. There’s a basic breakfast at no extra cost: two cartons each of milk and juice, eggs, bread, jam, coffee, tea, and cereal. If you need anything else, staff offer to take you to the shops after you arrive. The Hakuba Grand Apartments are right by Happo One, with food and ski hire nearby, but the spot is still quiet. It’s a great location for families or couples enjoying the Hakuba area. We can’t fault the accommodation and are already planning a 2026 return, for both a family trip and one with friends.
