Hakuba Resort Hotel La Neige Higashikan

We came back for the first time since 2019. The ownership has changed, but the hotel is still welcoming and a great place to stay. This time we had a cabin in the forest instead of a room in the main hotel. A nice extra was the apres-ski in the lounge. For skiing, there’s a shuttle to Happo-One and Iwatake and back, plus the ski-bus to Hakuba 47 stops at the end of the driveway. The staff couldn’t have been more cheerful or helpful. All in all, a very nice Christmas break.

We stayed at La Neige with our two young kids, and the staff were great with them. They were so warm and made sure everyone was looked after, from helping get the family ski-booted up to shuttling us each day. After long days skiing, the apres ski was impeccable. Breakfast each morning was outstanding, and the little extras left out each evening were thoughtful. La Neige is really special. We can’t wait to stay again!

The staff went out of their way to help when I had a minor car accident on the other side of town. They even got my muddy trousers washed in time for the wedding festivities. Arigatou!! It’s a classic hotel with modern amenities. The rooms were spectacular, especially the baths, and the cuisine was top-class. I appreciated the staff’s help most of all.

Our rooms were clean and gave us plenty of privacy. The complimentary breakfast and après-ski were exceptional, and the shuttle to and from the ski resorts and around town was invaluable. The staff were so kind and helpful. Phenomenal service, and I can’t recommend La Neige enough.
