We came in summer, and this is a handy base for driving to nearby lakes and the fishing pond. The room's mountain views are stunning. Breakfast from the buffet was great, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Outside, there are garden tables where you can enjoy the weather while little kids run around. A public hot spring and a convenience store are five minutes away on foot. We'll definitely come back.

The room was just okay, and we had trouble with the air conditioning. Opening the window let cool air in and took care of it. The mountain view was stunning.

The food was generous and delicious, with a more Western feel, and breakfast was especially worth looking forward to. There was a strong range of local craft draft beer, too. The taproom itself felt welcoming, with wooden floors, half-slab tables, artwork from one of the featured breweries, and a great mountain view. Our room was roomy and the beds were comfortable, though the bunks may feel short if you're over 180 cm. Such a good find. I hope to come back in winter and enjoy the snow.

The kids loved being able to use the free onsen, and there was a laundry room as well. Staff were kind and helpful, including with the free shuttle to the slopes and bus station. Our room at the Hakuba Panorama Hotel was clean and spacious, with a large king bed and bunk beds for the kids. We had a great stay and would definitely return in the future.

Breakfast was decent at least, but the room setup wasn't what we booked: we asked for two double beds and got one double bed plus a bunk bed. The onsen felt rather unsafe because there were no locks, and the hotel overall is old.
