Hiro and Taka made our first snowboarding trip and first visit to a snow field unforgettable for the whole family. The place is pet-friendly and welcoming, and it's hard to beat as a base in Happo-One. The location is near the main lift into the Happo-One area, so our family could ski at our own pace and ski in or out depending on how tired we were. Restaurants and bars are nearby, and the hosts helped us book places that required a local phone number, as well as arrange a private onsen about an 800 m walk uphill. We stayed in the rear apartment, with great views toward the quad ski lift. It suited our medium-sized family, and the rooms were heated with underfloor heating and reverse-cycle air conditioning. On arrival, the accommodation was spotless and the house rules and expectations were clear. The coffee for the drip machine and washing facilities were provided and well maintained. Taka helped us arrange rental gear and clothing soon after we arrived, so we could head out into the fresh powder. Getting everything arranged was easy. Communication and booking were clear and prompt, with helpful explanations of accommodation, gear hire, and options, plus good deals on rentals and accommodation. A WhatsApp group made coordination simple. We were picked up promptly from Hakuba station and could stop for groceries on the way. The hosts came in to help with any language barriers, which we really appreciated. Hiro and Taka also regularly offered lifts into town, weather permitting, for us and other guests, making it easier to get food and supplies not available locally. At checkout they asked for feedback. Our one small suggestion was that mattress toppers might make the beds a little more comfortable, and they took that very positively.

We didn't stay at Hakuba Powder Mountain, but our family of four rented all our skis, boots, and helmets there. Taka was fabulous, with lovely customer service. Each morning our boots were heated and our gear was ready to go. The location and price were the best in town. We'd highly recommend Hakuba Powder Mountain and will definitely stay there next time. We really like how convenient it is for skiing and snowboarding, right beside the Sakka slope, with the bus stop there too for the shuttle to Happo Gondola. Hiro is the best host, always checking we're okay and offering help. The room is big and the beds are very comfortable. It's a pet-friendly apartment, and her dog, Teddy, is very cute and friendly. We'll definitely stay here again if we come back to Hakuba.

The accommodation was extremely comfortable, clean, and well set up with everything we needed. We loved our first snow experience and will definitely be back. The location is right at the bottom of Sakka ski lift, and even in peak season we never had to line up. Taka organised our snowboarding gear, which was ready every day, and was there whenever we had questions. Hiro and Taka were wonderful and helpful from the moment we arrived. Hiro picked us up at the bus terminal, took us back when we left, and brought us to the supermarket on our first day. We had an amazing seven-day stay at Hakuba Powder Mountain.

The hosts were lovely, giving us lifts around and answering our questions quickly. Our unit was super clean and neat, with everything we needed. We loved the view of the snow slope from the apartment, and our young kids had so much fun playing in the snow across the road. Hakuba Powder Mountain apartment is right by the ski slope and lift, with cafes and rental shops nearby. We'd recommend it and can't wait to come back!
