Hotel Abest Hakuba Resort

The futons were a little hard for us to sleep on, which is unusual. Still, everything was clean and well kept, and the staff were lovely and helpful. We liked getting a bit of the local culture from the traditional room and onsen facilities. A great place to stay, highly recommended.

The staff gave good service, and the onsen was nice. The room was really large, and I was glad it had a toilet. The heater worked well too. This is my second stay here.

The breakfast buffet at the hotel was handy, and they also have laundry facilities. After snowboarding, we enjoyed the onsen, which is open every day and has an outdoor bath and sauna. The hotel gave us a discount voucher for Cherry Rentals, just a two-minute walk away. The staff were very friendly, and the location is great, close to the gondola (Escal). Kumai is a really good Japanese restaurant within walking distance, and we highly recommend it. I’d recommend staying here for a ski or snowboard holiday.

We had a comfortable, pleasant room that was spacious enough, though it wasn’t particularly modern or luxurious. The shared bathrooms were clean and well maintained, and I looked forward to a soak in the onsen after a long day on the slopes. Breakfast was included and made a great start to the day. The staff were kind and helpful throughout our stay. Hakuba Goryu is convenient for skiing, with Escal Plaza a short walk away. Other restaurants and attractions take a little longer to reach on foot, especially in the cold, but it wasn’t a big problem. On departure day, the staff kindly drove us to the bus stop so we could catch our bus back to Nagano without hassle. I highly recommend the hotel for a convenient, enjoyable stay in Hakuba.
