Cotomari Kyo no Yado

I had no trouble managing day-to-day life here. I made my own bed, and you’re expected to manage the door lock yourself, just as you would at home. Smoking isn’t allowed inside, though there’s a bucket outside for smokers. The place is in a residential area and was quiet, with some ordinary neighborhood sounds. I stayed for three nights and four days, sightseeing around Kyoto during the day and picking up prepared food at Aeon in the evenings to boil, grill, or microwave. It was a lovely, relaxing stay, and I’d come back for another longer visit.
