Kuu Kyoto Hotel

The pillows were small and floppy, the one downside to an otherwise very happy stay. Our king bed was comfortable, and the room was roomy with a thoughtful layout for a group. Showering in the sealed cubicle kept the heat and steam in, and there was a plastic corner seat inside. The toilet had a top of the line bidet and ventilation, while the entryway sink had an outlet and plenty of space for styling tools or a shaver. The location was excellent, about five minutes on foot from Kyoto train station, with Family Mart and Lawson only two minutes away. Staff were welcoming and friendly, and the front desk spoke excellent English. There isn't a universal outlet in the room, so bring an adapter or rent one at reception. We had a mini fridge, safe, kettle, and our own AC/heater, which was much better for us than central heating and AC. There's also a shared microwave and laundry: ¥300 for a wash, with pods provided, and ¥100 for each 30 minutes in the dryer. The men's and women's onsens are separate and free. The review date was Jan 26, and the hotel was phenomenal value. I've recommended it to friends heading to Kyoto and hope to return.

We were able to check in early, and the staff were lovely and friendly. Our room was spacious, with very comfortable beds and a stunning view of the temple. I liked the decor and the quiet corridor at the entrance, especially after a day out sightseeing. Kyoto station is a short walk away, and local buses stop nearby. A fabulous place to stay in Kyoto.

Booking an in-room massage was easy, and the therapist was professional, with good technique and pressure. The hotel itself was modern and clean, with an onsen, good room layouts, and coin laundry with dryers. Staff were super friendly and helpful, and Kyoto station was just a short walk away. Great hotel.

We had a peaceful, tranquil stay, and the staff did a lot to keep my family comfortable and well looked after. The rooms were spacious, with amenities we really liked, including the gender-specific onsen, complimentary Tour Bus, free travel necessities, and your own shrine and view at the entrance. It's surrounded by good places to eat and less than a ten-minute walk from Kyoto station. This was my second visit to Kyoto, and staying at Hotel Kuu made it much better. My family and I loved it, and we'll surely stay at KUU next time. Highly recommend!
