Hotel Stelle Belle

Junko was wonderful and so helpful, and the onsen was great, both the public one and the private one. The hotel is about a five-minute walk from the sky park. We spent four days there in February, and the breakfast was really good. Our room was much larger than the rooms we’d had in Tokyo. Honestly, it was the best hotel experience I’ve had in Japan.

We had two rooms for nine days, and both were clean and roomy. The breakfast was tasty, especially the French toast, and there’s a public bath plus a private onsen, which was a real bonus. It’s an easy walk to the slopes, with plenty of restaurants close by. Everyone was friendly, especially the receptionist who arranged a shuttle to and from the bus stop, even early in the morning. Hope we can come back!

The family running the hotel were very professional, and the room was spacious, spotless, and well looked after. It’s just a two-minute walk to the chairlifts. Communication before our stay was excellent too: they arranged a shuttle pickup and answered all my questions quickly and knowledgeably, from lift passes to lessons and ski hire. Everything went smoothly. I’d highly recommend staying here.

We were there for our anniversary, and they made us feel very welcome, even leaving a lovely card. It’s also really well placed for getting to everything you need for skiing. Loved our stay!
