The host is making up lies and slandering me in their response, which I believe is quite illegal. They were unwelcoming, unlike the other AirBnB and hospitality experiences I had in Japan. It made me feel like I was in a different country. They decided to do this after years, so I'm including photos of all the issues I had that they didn't even apologize for. There were bugs in the drawers too, but I was so disgusted that I didn't take photos. Stay here at your own caution.
The kids were thrilled by all the rooms as soon as we arrived, and spent ages deciding where to sleep. In the evenings, the adults could unwind with drinks while we arranged some of the lovely tableware we’d picked up at a nearby roadside station. There was plenty of it in the house. After a day at Yagaji Beach, it was nice to come straight back and relax. Having a washing machine meant we could tackle all our dirty trip clothes at once, too. We even got to watch fireworks from our room. We’d definitely come back on another Okinawa trip.
The view through the huge window was the highlight, that emerald green sea was stunning. We stayed four nights in 2A/201 room, and the room was spacious and clean, with a big sofa, beach sandals, a bouncer and toys for the kids, plus tableware that gave the place an Okinawan feel. It was such a relaxing stay that we almost wanted to just live there. We’d love to come back when Junglia opens!
It was a lovely stay, and I’d like to come back. The room has a luxurious feel and Kouri Island is close by, so it feels like a little hidden gem. The ocean right outside the window makes for a great location. The beach is muddy rather than sandy, with rough rocks, so water shoes would be safer. The ground didn’t seem well suited to swimming. Since people may spend plenty of time relaxing in the room, I wish the TV had BS or CS channels and could run YouTube and Netflix. It also feels small for such a large room. Outlets by the bed for charging a phone would be useful, and a TV there would be even better. The kitchen is well equipped, though a few more condiments and other supplies would help. The price seems fair for a luxury hotel, but upgrading the facilities to match would make a return visit more comfortable. These are just the things I’d like to see improved.
We stayed four nights at the end of September with two families, and the setting was every bit as impressive as the photos. The kids had lots of toys to play with. At high tide it looked possible to fish from the balcony, where we spotted plenty of flounder, large and small, along with black porgy, reef fish, and flying fish up to 25 cm long. From the parking lot, a path leads down to a private mangrove beach. Haneji Station nearby had most of the ingredients we needed, so shopping wasn’t a problem. The kitchen had a good variety of utensils, but only a low table, which was a downside. With two bedrooms, having two locks would also be nice. We’d stay here again if we get the chance.
