Nago Parkside Condominium TK Stay

The setup was convenient, and check-in and checkout were easy. There was a kitchen island, a little living area, and a tatami room, with enough room for luggage. The sofa bed in the living room also worked well for storage. The kitchen was dated but reasonably clean, and the place seemed suitable for families with children. At first the old-house look made me think the room was just old, but I came to like its atmosphere. It felt like a traditional Japanese home, right down to the very traditional TV. It didn't feel like a hotel.

The room was really comfortable and inexpensive, with two air conditioners and loads of outlets. It had a mirror, hairdryer, fridge, washing machine, and detergent too. Nobody greets you, though. Pressing the doorbell plays the same sound you hear when you walk into a FamilyMart.

Having parking, a washer, and a dryer was a big plus. For our family of four there was a tatami room, two sofa beds in the living room, and an open kitchenette, so there were plenty of beds. The area is a bit out of the way, and you'll need to drive to get to a store, though a 7-Eleven is walkable and ordering food online is very convenient. There's a funeral home diagonally across the road, but you can't really notice it. If you're superstitious, you can just close the curtains.

The room was clean and in good condition, and both the air conditioner and bathroom worked well. I tried the washing machine once, and some foreign matter came off. There's a convenience store right across the street, and nearby attractions are easy to reach: Pineapple Park is 10 minutes away, and Churaumi Aquarium takes 30 minutes. The izakaya behind the accommodation was delicious. I'd stay here again if I come back to Okinawa.
