I stayed with a friend's family, and the trip from Tokyo to Hakuba was well worth it. It was the best villa I’ve experienced. The place was spacious and luxurious, with a hot spring bath, a badminton set for the kids to use in the garden, and a sled for playing in the snow during the snowy season. There was a room with an outside door for ski and snowboard gear, and it was easy to get from there to the hot spring bath. The bedrooms had their own bathrooms and toilets, plus sections that could be closed off with walls for privacy when friends or multiple families stayed together. The thoughtful details throughout made the hospitality really noticeable. It was also great that the restaurant connected to the room, so we didn’t have to go outside in the cold. We ate meat from Meat Yazawa. The portions were generous and delicious, and our dinners and breakfasts made with Nagano ingredients were beautiful, tasty, luxurious, and nutritionally balanced. The staff’s hospitality impressed us deeply, and both the children and adults had a wonderful time.

It’s a new house with a stylish living room and cozy rooms. There’s a hot spring, and the service is excellent.

The food has a lovely flavor, with creative dishes built around local ingredients and culture. Portions are on the small side, though, and it feels pricey for what you get. I’d still recommend it.

The room is so comfortable that I almost didn’t want to head out skiing, lol. It’s incredibly luxurious.
