Dinner and breakfast were good, and the staff were nice. The receptionist could speak some English. Our room was an okay size, bright, with enough outlets, and had proper heating and bedding. There was also a boot drying room before the entrance, which was handy. The only catch was the uphill walk to the plaza, about 10 minutes.

The staff worked hard and were very professional. It’s a great location, less than a ten-minute walk from one slope, with a bus available from there to the other. Quite a few rooms don’t have a private bathroom, but there’s a communal bath inside.

Dinner and breakfast were delicious, and the rooms were clean. The owner and staff are friendly, and I’m grateful I got to stay here. I’d highly recommend the hotel. I’m going back next week with friends, then snowboarding at Hakuba47. Can’t wait 😍🥰

As of September 2023, both hotel buildings and the large plot around them were for sale. The place feels very run down, almost like a time capsule. Rooms on the lower floors are quite damp, while the higher ones are okay. Most rooms have lofts, but the ladders are narrow and steep, so climbing up is difficult.

Lady Diana has a cozy, nostalgic feel even when you’re visiting for the first time. The slopes are only a short walk away, which made it easy to head back to my room for a break during the day. Some facilities are a bit old and dated, though.
