Coming back from a day on the slopes to a private onsen and a warm bed was wonderful. We spent a week at pals raicho, close to the goryu/47 ski resorts, and used the shuttle to get boarding each day. The owners and staff were welcoming and helpful throughout. The stay became extra special when my partner and I got engaged. They were so excited for us and brought out a special dessert that day. We’ll definitely return, and I’d recommend it to anyone heading to hakuba to ski. Thanks to Pals Inn Raicho and everyone who made the week memorable.

The chairlift is just a short walk away, which made getting up the mountain easy. We also ate really well every day, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Had an amazing stay and would happily come back. Definitely recommend it.

The shared bathrooms and showers are divided by gender, and they were kept very clean with daily maintenance. There are also reasonable house rules to help keep things tidy. We loved the onsen outside, which you can reserve, and the free daily bus to Goryu Escal made getting around easy. Breakfast was delicious, with the menu posted the day before, and I’d recommend adding it to your booking. The family running the inn are some of the sweetest people you’ll meet. For the price, this is probably the best place in the area. We had an AMAZING stay and would recommend it.

After a day snowboarding, it was great to come back to a hot onsen. We also enjoyed the outdoor spa, especially relaxing in the hot tub while snow fell. There’s a room for skis and boards, plus a drying room for wet clothes and boots. The place is simple and modest, but extremely clean. The family owners look after all the little details and are very helpful. Bathrooms and showers are shared, and everything is kept neat. Breakfast was very good too. For this area, it’s probably the best you can get for the price.

The family who owns the place is really nice, and it’s about a 10-minute walk from Goryu station. Breakfast is worth paying for, they make delicious plates every morning. After snowboarding, a soak in the onsen feels like the best thing in the world. It’s also quiet and peaceful at night.
