Rental Cottage Green Valley Hakuba

Really good value compared with the next place we stayed in Hakuba, and I liked our cottage. The customer service was great, too.

An amazing place with super friendly staff.

We spent the New Year holidays comfortably in this rental home. It felt almost like staying in a vacation house of our own, with proper heating and the everyday household items we needed. It’s a good value and gives you plenty of freedom. The building is a little old, and some of the fittings felt a bit flimsy. Even with the heating on, the bathroom and toilet were much colder than the rest of the house, though I guess that’s hard to avoid in this area. The toilet is a simple flush type, but it does have a washlet. If you have a car, there’s a large supermarket and a convenience store nearby, so daily needs are easy to manage.

There aren’t many places around Hakuba that take large dogs, and this seems to be one of the cheaper choices. The area around the lodge was quiet, and we stayed comfortably without any worries. They provided toothbrushes, towels, cooking utensils, and tableware. The entrance smelled a little moldy, maybe because we visited in October. There are three bunk beds in the downstairs bedroom, so it can feel a bit cramped. You might be able to lay out a futon upstairs, but if you have pets, the only living area left for them is the downstairs living room, which could be inconvenient.
