Eric made our ski-season stay at winterfell Hakuba easy, even though we're American and don't speak Japanese. He cooked us a yummy breakfast, pointed us to great restaurants, and helped us get wherever we needed to go. We had a wonderful time. Thank you!

Eric and Aiden were both really helpful, and we'd definitely stay again. Our private room had its own bathroom, and the kitchen and dining room were quite spacious. The property was really nice, though it's a fair distance from town and the shops. The shuttle service was available throughout our stay, which made that easier.

The view from the window and balcony is stunning 😍, and the hosts make you feel comfortable, like part of a bigger family. Having your own transport would be best, but they help you get where you need to go even without it. The popular ski resorts and shuttle stops are a short drive away, and the host can offer excellent advice if you're unsure where to eat. Hakuba Valley is a great snowsports destination.

The common areas are excellent, and the hotel feels really cosy. The location wasn't ideal for our group of friends hoping to enjoy the nightlife, since the free shuttle only ran at 9 in the morning and 5 in the afternoon. That schedule would suit a family or a group there mainly to ski much better.
