The staff were exceptionally helpful, and the bathroom was compact but had good water pressure. It felt like a traditional Japanese room, and it was clean when we arrived. Parking across the street was very affordable. The beds were on the floor, which made getting up and down difficult.

The room had plenty of space, with a queen bed, a large desk, and a full-length mirror. I also liked the key slot by the door that turns on the lights. It was new to me and makes it harder to walk off without your key. The hotel looked more modern than any other I've stayed at in Japan so far. There's an on-site onsen, though I didn't use it. Colleagues told me it was nice. At check-in they gave me a face mask, which I hadn't experienced before, and the front desk had already prepared to speak English because they knew I didn't speak Japanese. It's only about a three-minute walk from the train station, with lots of restaurants across the street that stay open late. The staff were courteous. The only snag was that the Wi-Fi took a while to connect. I've run into that at many hotels in Japan, though.

The room felt spacious and comfortable, and the place was clean and well kept. There were both public and private baths. My only gripe was the breakfast miso soup, which was too oily.

The service had a nice attitude and the location was good. English at the front desk was barely workable, though, which made things inconvenient for a foreigner like me.
