The staff are friendly, the room feels cozy, and the food is excellent.

I stopped in at the cafe for lunch. The food was all natural and delicious, though the portions may feel a little small for men, so I’d suggest getting an extra serving of rice. They only have a set menu, and the price depends on how many dishes you order. The cafe has a stylish, relaxing feel. Most of the customers were women, so a man might feel a bit hesitant going in alone. The food itself is, of course, delicious.

It’s lovely to stay in this forest-like space and take breakfast slowly in a relaxed mood. They keep the tea warm, which made it especially nice to take my time with a hot cup. Lunch while looking out at the garden sounds lovely too. I was disappointed that dessert seemed about to arrive before the soup and rice, perhaps because it was busy. If the soup doesn’t come first next time, I’ll say something so I can have rice with the main dish. I can’t come whenever I like, so it was sad to have that precious time spoiled. The people with me were locals, but it was their first visit too. After paying more than usual for lunch, they may have felt the hospitality was disappointing. People from Tohoku may not complain, but they hold onto it, so I want to take this as a lesson.

The meal can take a while to arrive, but the terrace is a pleasant place to sit in the sunshine and chat at an easy pace. Some courses let you choose either meat or fish as the main, while others include both.
